If I so choose, I can depart this world entirely. It is not death which makes this possible, but it is change of mind about the purpose of the world. If I believe it has a value as I see it now, so will it still remain for me. But if I see no value in the world as I behold it, nothing that I want to keep as mine or search for as a goal, it will depart from me. For I have not sought for illusions to replace the truth.

This lesson shows you very clearly how A Course In Miracles takes death away from you. Until now you have used death as an escape route; if nothing else works you can always end your life. Tony says beautifully in A Course In Miracles Unleashed how he always used it as a door that he could escape through and that when he started doing the workbook lessons that door closed. Now what?

Father, my home awaits my glad return. Your Arms are open and I hear Your Voice. What need have I to linger in a place of vain desires and of shattered dreams, when Heaven can so easily be mine?

The only way to leave this world is by recognizing that it is a dream. All you have to do is wake-up, and the text and workbook offer you this. It is a practice, it is a determination, it is perseverance, it is forgiveness, it is love, it is gratitude. You can't leave this world by dying, you leave it by awakening.

What a great gift. Now you see the truth. I knew that I needed to let go of this body in order to return Home, it was shown to me in a great vision.

I was on a beach, on an island. There was water all around. I could see across the ocean that there was another island that I had to get to. That island was Home. I looked around for a boat or a raft that could take me across the water, but there was nothing there. I thought about swimming, but the distance was too great. What to do? It was then that I realized that the only way home was by letting go of this body in which I thought I found myself, and to let go of all the limitations I imposed on myself. So the next question was, 'How do I let go of this body?' Shortly after that A Course In Miracles came my way.

Everything you need is given you: every revelation, every message, every word and every sight. Take time today to receive what is yours. Have moments alone with your Creator. Practice the lesson for today.

My true Identity is so secure, so lofty, sinless, glorious and great, wholly beneficent and free from guilt, that Heaven looks to It to give it light. It lights the world as well. It is the gift my Father gave to me; the one as well I give the world. There is no gift but this that can be either given or received. This is reality, and only this. This is illusion's end. It is the truth.

My Name, O Father, still is known to You. I have forgotten It, and do not know where I am going, who I am, or what it is I do. Remind me, Father, now, for I am weary of the world I see. Reveal what You would have me see instead.

What a beautiful lesson. It's a great prayer and it reminds you that it is okay to recognize for a moment how tired you are of the world you see and what you are doing in it. It is only when you are willing to look honestly at where you find yourself and what you are feeling that true help can be asked and received. Don't try to hide what you are feeling, you will fail. Don't ignore what you see, it won't work. Stand honestly in the place of the total impossibility of where you find yourself and ask for help. You can do that right now. In that moment God can reveal Himself to you and are you revealed to yourself. Your true identity rests secure in God's Love, do you want to remember it today?

Watch your mind for the temptations of the ego, and do not be deceived by it. It offers you nothing. When you have given up this voluntary dis-spiriting, you will see how your mind can focus and rise above fatigue and heal. Yet you are not sufficiently vigilant against the demands of the ego to disengage yourself. This need not be. You cannot forget the Father because I am with you, and I cannot forget Him. To forget me is to forget yourself and Him Who created you. Our brothers are forgetful. That is why they need your remembrance of me and of Him Who created me. Through this remembrance, you can change their minds about themselves, as I can change yours. Your mind is so powerful a light that you can look into theirs and enlighten them, as I can enlighten yours. I do not want to share my body in communion because this is to share nothing. Would I try to share an illusion with the most holy children of a most holy Father? Yet I do want to share my mind with you because we are of one Mind, and that Mind is ours. See only this Mind everywhere, because only this is everywhere and in everything. It is everything because it encompasses all things within itself. Blessed are you who perceive only this, because you perceive only what is true.

The gift of life is yours to give, because it was given you. You are unaware of your gift because you do not give it. You cannot make nothing live, since nothing cannot be enlivened. Therefore, you are not extending the gift you both have and are, and so you do not know your being. All confusion comes from not extending life, because that is not the Will of your Creator. You can do nothing apart from Him, and you do do nothing apart from Him. Keep His way to remember yourself, and teach His way lest you forget yourself. Give only honor to the Sons of the living God, and count yourself among them gladly.
